‍ ‍thistle hill was the name of our family farm growing up. the memories i made there are second to none. i was usually running around with an old camcorder in my hand. being in nature, growing up rural, and finding the little things that were meaningful to me along with way sort of inspired to start this thing.

i love football, Steve Miller Band and my friends who have became family all over the country. i find joy in long car rides with my family, peach nehi in my favorite places, and political conversations with my dad. my husband and i bought a 68 ponitac gto and we spend as much time in it as we can. i also like to type in lowercase letters because i think it’s cuter that way, even though i am well aware that some may think it’s unprofessional.

a lot of my work is inspired by california. warm sunshine, california poppies in a wine, beautiful wine country and LA. two of my favorite movies are la la land and dirty dancing - and i find myself feeling compelled by film in my work.

i love finding the meaning + joys in smaller acts. i married the sweetest man, kolten, in september 2025. i am a total patriot, and grew up listening to the sean hannity show with my dad in the truck. i am a firm believer that anything is possible with the grace of our Lord.

i founded thistle hill photo in hopes to inspire, encourage, and support those who crave to be different and are in pursuit of individuality. and i’ll end with this: start the business, try out for position, audition for the part. find what makes you, YOU and roll with it. be kind, do good, and keep it real.
